This policy is written for PDFBreeze’s launch-stage service and is intended to remain suitable as additional tools, user accounts and paid plans are introduced.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of PDFBreeze. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use PDFBreeze.
2. Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you use PDFBreeze for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.
3. The PDFBreeze service
PDFBreeze provides online document tools that may include editing, signing, organising, compressing, converting, extracting, generating and processing files. Features may change, be introduced gradually or remain labelled as beta, preview or experimental.
Results may vary depending on source-file quality, fonts, formatting, encryption, scans and technical limitations. You should review every output before relying on it.
4. Your files and content
You retain ownership of files and content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, copy, process, transmit and modify that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service.
You confirm that you have all rights and permissions required to upload and process the content.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use PDFBreeze to:
- break the law or facilitate fraud, deception, harassment or abuse;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy or confidentiality rights;
- upload malware or harmful code;
- probe, bypass or interfere with security, limits or billing;
- scrape or access the service through unauthorised automated means;
- resell the service except under an agreed business plan;
- misrepresent electronic signatures or use them without authority.
6. Accounts
You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding credentials and all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
7. Paid services
Paid plans, trials, renewals, cancellations and refunds are governed by these terms and the Subscription Policy. Prices and included features are shown before purchase.
8. Intellectual property
PDFBreeze, its interface, software, branding, designs, documentation and underlying technology are owned by or licensed to Northstar Ridge Limited. These terms grant only a limited, revocable and non-transferable right to use the service.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep PDFBreeze available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may maintain, modify, suspend or discontinue features for technical, legal, security or commercial reasons.
10. Disclaimers
PDFBreeze is provided on an “as available” basis. It is a document-processing service, not legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. Electronic signatures and converted documents may have different requirements in different jurisdictions.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, lost data or losses caused by failing to keep backups or review outputs. For paid services, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using PDFBreeze at any time. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, misuse, security risk, legal requirements or material breach.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
